Role Purpose
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) in the Group CEO Office supports the GCEO strategic decision-making via financial analysis, performance management and executive communications. This position requires strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver high-impact insights and ensure alignment with the Group’s strategic priorities.
Specific Accountabilities

Performance Management & Reporting (30%)

Develop and maintain monthly GCEO dashboards covering group and international performance

Support quarterly reporting processes, including review of Management Discussion & Analysis (MDA) and performance messaging.

Manage share price and trade log analytics, including dashboard preparation

Conduct peer benchmarking and deliver actionable insights for leadership.

Support ad-hoc analysis e.g., Emiratization ratios, macroeconomic impacts (e.g., US tariffs), IPO market trends, GDP vs loan growth, and FAB financials.

Prepare briefing packs, Q&A documents, and presentations for CEO forums and strategic meetings.

Review and enhance employee call presentations and MDA translations for accuracy and tone.

Research & Insights (25%)

Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging economic, industry, technology, and regulatory trends.

Collate report on GDP forecasts and sectoral projections for key markets.

Lead research on AI applications in banking, sustainability trends, and geopolitical risk analysis.

Develop regulatory scorecards (e.g., CBUAE) and enable self-assessment tools.

Deliver real-time macroeconomic and sectoral insights through Market Pulse dashboards.

Develop analytical frameworks for trade log insights in collaboration with Data & AI teams.

Governance & Committees (15%)
-
Provide insights for business reviews and committee papers (GALCO, BRESGC, BAC, BMC, etc.).

Track internal audit items and coordinate closure.

Compile notes for compliance and ESG committees, monitoring regulatory risks and financial crime scrutiny.

Monitor CBUAE examination outcomes and regulatory updates.

Strategic Planning (15%)

Synthesize transformation roadmaps into executive-ready formats, outlining strategic priorities and deliverables over a three-year horizon.

Assist in finalizing ExCo scorecards, incorporating leadership feedback and aligning KPIs with strategic themes (NPS, Emiratization, operational efficiency).

Coordinate with HR on Emiratization recruitment and attrition data updates.

Support the GCEO in bank-wide annual budget process in collaboration with other departments.

Automation, Innovation & AI (15%)

Design and automate dashboards for Finance, HR, Market, and Country performance.

Deliver real-time macroeconomic and sectoral insights through Market Pulse dashboards.

Integrate Bloomberg-based benchmarking for peer and country comparisons.

Identify and implement AI-driven solutions for reporting, analytics, and executive workflows.

Manage AI-related initiatives within the GCEO Office.
Minimum Qualification
-
Bachelors or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related discipline.
Minimum Experience
-
5 - 7 years of relevant experience as a financial analyst or consultant preferably in the banking sector and financial institutions.
