Business Development (BD)

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in business development, client acquisition, or sales through freelance platforms or direct B2B outreach.

This role focuses on lead generation, client communication, and closing deals through platforms like Upwork, other freelance marketplaces, LinkedIn, or direct outreach methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and generate new business opportunities through:
• Upwork and other freelance platforms
• LinkedIn B2B outreach
• Direct client outreach (email, messages, proposals)
• Write and submit winning proposals on Upwork or similar platforms
• Communicate professionally with potential clients and understand their requirements
• Follow up with leads and convert them into long-term clients
• Maintain records of leads, proposals, and conversions
• Work closely with the internal team to ensure smooth project handover after closing

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of proven experience as a Business Development Specialist
• Hands-on experience with:
• Upwork or other freelance accounts OR
• LinkedIn B2B lead generation and outreach
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and meet targets
• Basic understanding of digital services / freelancing industry
• Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for sales
