We are looking for a Business Development Executive with 3–4 years of hands-on experience on Upwork and in client acquisition through freelancing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new business opportunities through Upwork and other platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator,PeoplePerHour etc.
- Identify and bid on high-quality, relevant projects aligned with company services.
- Write professional, customized, and persuasive proposals based on client requirements.
- Handle end-to-end sales cycle including project estimation, pricing, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Maintain a strong and professional presence with high response rate and profile performance.
- Write highly customized, client-focused proposals with strong conversion potential.
- Communicate effectively with international clients (US, UK, Canada, Australia) via chat, calls, and virtual meetings..
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Generate and qualify B2B leads through LinkedIn outreach and other channels..
- Contribute to sales and marketing strategies to improve lead conversion and revenue growth.
- Maintain consistent pipeline activity and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare progress reports, lead tracking sheets, and performance analysis.
- Continuously optimize bidding and outreach strategies based on results.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience on Upwork.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other freelancing platforms is a plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successfully closed projects in IT services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to close deals and generate revenue consistently.
- Experience working with international clients (US/UK/Canada/Australia markets).
- Ability to understand technical/non-technical requirements and translate them into business opportunities.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
