Business Development Manager

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will focus on acquiring new projects, nurturing client relationships, identifying market opportunities, and providing technical insight into proposals and tenders. Their engineering background allows them to better understand project specifications, communicate with technical teams, and develop realistic proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Strategy

• Identify potential clients: developers, consultants, government entities, private villa owners.
• Analyze competitors and market trends in Ajman and other UAE emirates.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Attend networking events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Project Acquisition & Tendering

• Collaborate with engineering and estimating teams to prepare bids, proposals, and quotations.
• Review technical specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Business Expansion

• Explore new segments (e.g., renovations, interior fit-outs, infrastructure).
• Suggest partnerships or subcontracting opportunities.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Track leads, conversions, and revenue growth.
• Prepare business development reports for management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 3–7 years in UAE contracting or construction sector, with at least 2 years in a business development or client-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of Ajman Municipality and UAE construction regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and tendering software.
• UAE Driving License (often required).

• Reports to: Managing Director / Head of Operations
• Coordinates with: Project Managers, Estimation Team, Procurement, Marketing

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
