Business Development Manager (BDM)

*Job Title:* Business Development Manager – Student Business

*Job Summary:*

As a BDM, the main task is to expand the educational consultant channel. This will result in a greater number of consultants guiding their students who are travelling overseas for higher studies to remit their fees and living expenses. The BDM is responsible for Pre-Sales, Sales, and Post-Sales of the entire remittance process.

*Key Responsibilities:*

1. Expand the network of educational consultants and onboard them as partners.

2. Conduct webinars with partner educational consultants to guide students/parents through the remittance process (forex rates, documentation, etc.).

3. Support each student through the entire remittance process, ensuring collection of all required documents.

4. Follow up on the student database for semester-wise fee payments (usually paid in two tranches).

5. Maximize the margin for each transaction to increase overall revenue.

6. Cross-sell services such as education loans, visa facilitation, and insurance for additional revenue.

*Key Performance Indicators:*

* Achieve annual revenue, transaction value, and student targets.

* Expand the base of undergraduate and postgraduate education consultants.

* Meet conversion targets (leads vs. actuals).

* Support each student/parent through the process.

* Organize a defined number of webinars with onboarded consultants.

*Qualities & Attributes:*

* Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience (excluding Byju’s experience).

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Ability to build and maintain relationships with educational consultants.

* Proficiency in market research, lead generation, and sales funnel management.

*Working Days & Hours:*

* 6 days a week (Monday–Saturday)

* 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

*Salary Range:*

₹7–10 LPA (based on relevant experience and candidature)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
