We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) with 5–7 years of proven expertise in IT/software services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client bidding processes, acquiring new business opportunities, and serving as the communication bridge between clients and internal technical teams.
This role requires strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across global markets.
- Manage bidding on platforms ( Upwork, Freelancer) and prepare
compelling proposals.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and deal closure.
- Analyze market trends to identify high-potential niches (e.g., SaaS, AI, software products) and tailor Dcodax’s offering to meet emerging demands.
- Own monthly and quarterly revenue targets, ensuring consistent growth through both outbound outreach and inbound lead conversion.
- Ensure a seamless transition from sales to the project management team, providing clear documentation of client expectations and deliverables.
- Provide regular feedback to the marketing and technical teams regarding "reasons for loss" and "reasons for win" to improve our competitive edge.
- Take full ownership of Upwork profile and fiverr profile requiring daily strategic bidding, proposal writing, and profile optimization.
- Craft high-converting, personalized proposals that address specific client pain points rather than using generic templates.
- Rapidly vet incoming invites and job postings to ensure our team focuses only on high-quality, high-budget opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure business growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Development, QA, Design, PMO) to ensure smooth delivery of client projects.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate requirement gathering and timeline commitments.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to formulate business plans and strategies.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycles including lead generation, requirements analysis, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- Track and analyze business performance, generating periodic reports for leadership.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- 5–7 years of experience in Business Development within the IT or software services industry.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, IT technologies, and project delivery concepts.
- Proven experience with online bidding platforms and proposal writing.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage client expectations and handle multiple projects at once.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working closely with technical teams and translating client requirements.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
- Prior experience managing enterprise clients or large-scale software projects.
- Strong network in IT outsourcing markets (US, UK, EU, Middle East).
