Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-scale site operations, ensuring all civil construction activities align with approved drawings, schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
- Act as the central point of coordination among architects, structural and MEP engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Develop and manage detailed project timelines using Primavera P6 or MS Project; proactively identify delays and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project expenditures, forecast financial needs, and implement cost-control measures to prevent overruns.
- Lead and supervise site teams including engineers, supervisors, and labor crews to maintain productivity and compliance.
- Conduct routine inspections to uphold quality standards and initiate corrective actions for any deviations.
- Review and process change orders, variations, and claims with proper documentation and impact analysis.
- Chair weekly coordination meetings and provide stakeholders with comprehensive progress updates and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including progress logs, QA/QC records, safety reports, and material tracking sheets.
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE protocols throughout all construction phases, promoting a culture of safety.
- Plan and oversee procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources.
- Resolve site-level challenges efficiently to maintain momentum and meet critical project milestones.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 10–15 years of hands-on experience in civil construction, preferably with top-tier contracting firms.
- Proven track record managing large-scale residential, commercial, and high-rise developments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex project setups and manage large, multidisciplinary teams (300+ personnel).
- Deep understanding of construction techniques, site operations, budgeting, and contract management.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills under high-pressure environments.
- Well-versed in GCC construction codes, authority approvals, and safety regulations.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
