We are seeking qualified contractors to support in a role as a Customer Service Associate, leveraging call center experience, customer service skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail to deliver a positive customer experience.

Additionally this opportunity is open to individuals located in Ohio (Columbus, Whitehall, Detroit, Sylvania, Cincinnati, Beaver Creek, Cleveland), Pennsylvania (Pittsburg, Philadelphia, Berwyn), West Virginia (South Charleston), and/or Maryland (Baltimore, Windsor Mill) and the surrounding areas.

Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office. The project hours of operations will be Monday – Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time.

During storms a rotational requirement for after-hours coverage and opportunities for overtime coverage as needed to support storm-related issues.

Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:
  • Handle customer inquiries about Utilities through phone calls, chats, and emails, document interactions, assist with all customer issues.
  • Deliverables or Project Scope: Provide excellent customer service, build relationships, adapt to changes, and inspire others to achieve superior results.
  • Collaboration Tools or Platforms: Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), ensure reliable internet access, and work from a quiet, private location.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Customer Service minimum 2 years
  • 1-year of call center environment experience
  • 6-months of Utilities Company experience: Electricity, Water, Natural Gas, Telecommunications, or Health and Public Service (H&PS)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • At home internet access to handle calls received via the internet
  • Proficiency with computers: Experience using the internet, email via Outlook, MS Teams etc.

Compensation Disclosure

Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer BCforward, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.

As required by law, below you’ll find the reasonable range of compensation BCforward expects to pay for this role as set forth below.

We anticipate this contractor role will be posted until 5/15/2026.
