Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- Middle
- Retired Armed Forces Personnel with relevant trade and experience may also apply.
- 2–5 years of experience as a cook
Desirable:
- Matric
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to the menu.
- Ensure food is prepared hygienically and served hot.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Clean and maintain cooking equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and ensure timely service.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Essential:
- The ideal candidate should possess basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
- They should have skills in cooking with attention to taste, presentation, and quality, as well as time management and organizational abilities.
- The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, follow recipes accurately, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- The candidate should possess attention to detail, physical stamina, teamwork, adaptability, and basic communication skills.
Desirable:
- The candidate would have prior experience in cooking and skills in preparing diverse cuisines.
- Experience in inventory management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage tasks in a timely manner.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:-
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and/or absence of NOC from the Head of Institution.

- Late/incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered/called for interview and no TA/DA will be admissible.
