Curriculum Lead – Early Years KG to Grade 2

Organization: Presidency Group of Institutions

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 8–15 Years (Early Childhood & Primary Education)

Qualification: Postgraduate in Education / Child Development / Psychology with B.Ed / M.Ed / ECCE (mandatory)

Job Purpose

To lead, design, and implement a developmentally appropriate, child-centric curriculum for Early Years (KG to Grade 2) across Presidency Group institutions, ensuring alignment with NEP guidelines, foundational literacy & numeracy (FLN), and best practices in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and annual review of curriculum for KG to Grade 2.

Develop yearly and term-wise curriculum plans , learning outcomes, lesson frameworks, and assessment strategies.

Ensure curriculum aligns with NEP 2020, FLN goals , and age-appropriate pedagogical practices.

Integrate play-based, experiential, inquiry-based, and activity-oriented learning approaches.

Guide and mentor teachers on curriculum delivery, classroom practices, and assessment methods.

Conduct curriculum orientations, teacher training programs, and academic workshops.

Monitor curriculum implementation through classroom observations, reviews, and feedback mechanisms.

Design formative assessments, observation tools, and progress tracking systems for early learners.

Collaborate with Principals, Academic Heads, and HODs to maintain consistency across campuses.

Review and recommend textbooks, teaching aids, manipulatives, and digital learning resources.

Support academic audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements related to early years curriculum.

Engage with parents through curriculum presentations, orientations, and academic communication when required.

Skills & Competencies

Deep understanding of early childhood development and pedagogy .

Strong expertise in curriculum design for foundational stages .

Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

Ability to train, guide, and evaluate teaching teams.

Strong documentation, planning, and analytical skills.

Familiarity with assessment tools for early learners.

Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace; LMS exposure preferred.

Preferred Experience

Experience in reputed school groups or early learning networks.

Prior role as Curriculum Lead / Academic Head / Early Years Coordinator.

Exposure to IB PYP / Montessori / Reggio Emilia approaches is an added advantage.

Experience handling multi-campus or group-level curriculum initiatives.
