Custody Operations Officer/ Senior Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute purchase or selling order after reviewing received data regarding customer info, currency of transaction and quantity.
  • Ensure that the customer’s account is sufficient for the execution of any selling or purchasing transaction and check the signature verification on the screen of Miser El Makasa.
  • Receive transfer requests and match them with both the securities and customer signatures in order to enhance the level of authentication and prevent any kind of fraud.
  • Record any transfer requests on the on the screen of Miser El Makasa after checking whether the account exists or not as well as if there are fees that must be deducted from the account.
  • Notify customers of the completion of the transfer process and make the necessary accounting entries.
  • Carry out all the related activities to exchanging securities between two companies, either one or two of them are listed on the stock exchange, including freezing collateralized securities, removing any freezes when needed and the reactivation of any related accounts.
  • Deposit and keep securities in the central depository system.
  • Print deposit orders including dates and any further required details about the depositing process for archiving.
  • Execute brokerage agreements and execute any activities related to keeping securities (shares/bonds).
  • Carry out securities account consolidation of customers.
  • Validate all the deals booked by the Treasury Front Office based on policies, guidelines & Bank processes.
  • Follow up collecting coupons and credit them to customer A/Cs.
  • Collect dividends for the clients and the bank.
  • Deliver any documents or securities to the customers upon request.
  • Take part in preparing periodical reports on investment funds.
  • Save customer requests, contracts with individuals and corporates, daily documents, selling, transfers & purchase letters, Sukuk and Miser El Makasa letters in a safe and proper place.
  • Execute UAT testing and review the results to ensure correct implementation.
  • Investigate to solve received complaints in cooperation with Consumer Rights Protection – Compliance & Governance – in accordance with the policies and procedures and identified SLA.

And any other assigned Tasks.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree


Minimum Experience:

  • Min 2 years of relevant experience


Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • Presentation skills
  • Previous experience in same position is preferred
  • Very good command of MS Word & MS Excel.
