Job Description
- · Plan, implement, configure, and troubleshoot the IP infrastructure, including switches, routers, and servers.
- · Supervise IP service troubleshooting and coordinate with other departments for escalated issues and design suggestions.
- · Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure components.
- · Communicate directly with critical customers when necessary.
- · Provide technical training and guidance to staff and subordinates.
- · Ensure 24x7 availability via phone, internet, or in-person as required.
- · Utilize network, hardware, and software resources judiciously.
- · Plan and supervise preventive and emergency maintenance.
- · Supervise routine backups of network equipment and resources.
- · Coordinate troubleshooting with international carrier partners, service providers, and customers.
- · Oversee storekeeping and filing of important records and ensure asset movements are authorized.
- · Support Network Operations with unresolved issues.
- · Assist in creating feasibility, engineering design, and implementation reports for new projects and technology deployments.
- · Provide proactive suggestions for network additions and modifications.
- · Complete assigned projects.
- · Meet IP Engineering department productivity and quality goals.
- · Ensure subordinate engineers comply with their responsibilities.
- · Analyze network failures and plan to prevent recurrence.'
Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Masters degree preferred.
- JNCIP, CCNP, HCIP or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Data Com, ISP, or Telecom Industries
- Certifications relevant to Security domain & Linux administration will be recommended.
Experience
- Expert knowledge in IP Routing Protocols, OSFP, ISIS, BGP, MP-BGP, SR, PIM.
- Expert knowledge in MPLS Routing Protocols, LDP, RSVP, FRR, CR-LDP, CSPF
- Expert knowledge in Ethernet standards & technologies, STP, RSTP, ERPS, LACP, QinQ, MC-LAG, Stacking/VSS.
- Knowledge of DDoS protection strategies, including traffic engineering, scrubbing, and use of mitigation appliances/services.
- Familiarity with traffic analysis tools and techniques such as Deep Packet Inspection DPI, NetFlow, and flow-based monitoring.
PKR 200,000 – 250,000 along with annual bonus, gratuity, company mobile SIM, comprehensive family medical coverage (including parents), monthly OPD allowance (12% of basic salary), handset allowance, fuel card, EOBI enrollment, and 32 annual leaves with a generous leave encashment option.
