Driver cum General Foreman

Role Overview

· A dual-function role combining reliable transport services with the supervision and coordination of on-site general maintenance, construction, or operational projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Safely drive company vehicles to transport project materials, workers, and site supervisors.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate daily tasks for electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians to ensure maximum productivity.
• Technical Execution: Read and interpret MEP shop drawings and schematics; ensure installations are carried out as per approved designs.
• Material Management: Monitor material stock on-site, request supplies in advance, and minimize wastage of pipes, cables, and ducting.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress to ensure compliance with DEWA, SEWA, or Civil Defense standards.
• Safety Enforcement: Conduct daily Toolbox Talks and ensure all site personnel use appropriate PPE and follow HSE regulations.
• Progress Reporting: Provide daily/weekly progress updates to the Site Engineer and maintain accurate site attendance logs.
• Testing & Commissioning: Oversee pressure testing, cable insulation tests, and system startups prior to consultant inspection.

· Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and up to quality standards.

· Assign duties to laborers, monitor performance, and enforce safety protocols on the field.

· Coordinate with project managers to procure necessary materials and tools.

· Ensure the assigned company vehicle is regularly serviced, clean, and properly maintained.

Qualifications & Skills

· Valid driver’s license (appropriate for the branch location/vehicle type).

· Proven experience as a General Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar leadership role in maintenance/construction.

· Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.

· Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or project plans.

· Clean driving record and solid geographical knowledge of the region.

License/Certification:

• UAE driving licence (Required)
