ESTIMATOR - FITOUT

Job Title: Estimator – Fit Out Department:* Estimation / Tendering Reporting To:* Estimation Manager / Project Director Job Summary:

The Estimator – Fit Out is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for interior fit-out projects. The role requires a strong understanding of materials, finishes, joinery, MEP coordination, and overall fit-out execution processes. The candidate should be able to analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine the total cost of works efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse tender drawings, specifications, and project scope to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), quantity take-offs, and material breakdowns for fit-out projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop and submit competitive tender proposals within the required timeframe.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for technical clarifications.
• Ensure all estimates include accurate pricing for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontract works.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Prepare cost comparisons, rate analyses, and project budgets.
• Assist project teams in post-tender negotiations and cost control during execution.
• Maintain an updated database of suppliers, subcontractors, and material costs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Interior Design.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience as an estimator in interior fit-out or joinery projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery works, and MEP coordination in fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
