We are seeking a highly skilled and multifaceted Fashion Designer & Production Manager to lead our creative and operational lifecycle. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between high-end conceptual design and rigorous industrial production. The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated design aesthetic and the technical expertise required to manage large-scale manufacturing workflows with precision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Development
- Conceptualize and execute cohesive seasonal collections that align with the brand’s minimalist, high-end aesthetic.
- Develop detailed technical packs (Tech Packs) including precise garment construction details, fabric specifications and embellishment maps.
- Oversee the design of intricate hand-embroidery (pakki and aari work), cutwork, and other artisanal techniques.
2. Production Management
- Manage the full production cycle from fabric sourcing and dyeing to final quality control.
- Liaise with vendors, dyers, and stitching units to ensure timely delivery of high-volume orders.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and manage consumption ratios across various fabric widths.
- Implement rigorous QC standards to maintain brand excellence across all international shipments.
3. Strategic Operations
- Collaborate on pricing strategies and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) analysis to ensure healthy margins.
- Coordinate with the digital team to ensure design timelines align with marketing launches and international shipping schedules.
Candidate Requirements (Strict)Note: This is a senior-level position. We are exclusively seeking candidates with a proven track record in the fashion industry. Interns or entry-level candidates without professional experience will not be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in fashion design and production management.
- Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of premium textiles, garment construction, and traditional craftsmanship (embroidery and cutwork).
- Operational Proficiency: Experience managing industrial-scale production and coordinating with external vendors/workshops.
- Aesthetic Alignment: A portfolio that demonstrates a mastery of minimalist, sophisticated silhouettes and high-end detailing.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop) and familiarity with e-commerce ecosystems is a plus.
