Grid Station Resident Engineer

Looking for an experienced Resident Engineer – Electrical with over 15-20 years dedicated to the successful delivery of electrical substation projects and shall hold the OETC approval.

A grid station Resident Engineer oversees on-site electrical substation construction, ensuring work aligns with technical plans, safety, and quality standards by coordinating with contractors, clients, and design teams. Key responsibilities include site supervision, quality control of materials and workmanship, managing project progress and schedules, resolving technical issues, maintaining detailed project records, and serving as the primary on-site liaison between stakeholders. Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying and addressing any delays. Review and approve technical aspects of claims, variations, and change orders from contractors.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Verify that construction materials and equipment are of the specified quality. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and other legal requirements. Provide technical advice and solutions to design and construction-related problems encountered on-site. Resolve any technical issues or unforeseen problems that arise during the construction process. Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, and inspection records. Prepare progress reports and other essential project documentation for project managers.
