Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest food quality and presentation, managing inventory, and maintaining strict health and safety standards. He/ She will design and innovate menus, train and develop staff, and maintain the kitchen’s efficiency and morale. The role requires strong leadership, creativity in food preparation, and the ability to drive exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Design and innovate menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards in terms of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Control inventory and order supplies while managing food costs.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Train, develop, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor kitchen performance, resolve issues, and improve workflow processes.
  • Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Manage and oversee food preparation during service, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation and food storage.
  • Create and implement strategies to minimize food waste and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends, incorporating new ideas and techniques into the kitchen.
  • Handle customer complaints or special dietary requests regarding food preparation.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and labor management to ensure cost control.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary school is mandatory
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a Senior kitchen role with at least 6-8 years of experience in a high-volume or fine-dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
