Kitchen Head & Cook – Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee complete kitchen operations and daily food production
• Plan menus in coordination with management and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
• Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Monitor inventory, control food costs, and reduce wastage
• Ensure timely preparation and service of food
• Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and teamwork within the kitchen
• Coordinate with procurement and management for supplies and requirements
• Prepare food items according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Assist the Kitchen Head in daily food preparation and operations
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, and utensils
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and portion control
• Follow hygiene and safety guidelines at all times
• Support smooth kitchen operations during peak hours
• Assist in inventory handling and basic prep work

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Kitchen Head, Head Chef, or Senior Chef
• Strong knowledge of Pakistani cuisine (continental knowledge is a plus)
• Leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Previous experience as a Cook in hotel or restaurant industry
• Strong command over Pakistani dishes
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Punctual, disciplined, and responsible attitude
• Willingness to work flexible shifts
