Head of Inventory

Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Salary Range: PKR 200,000 – 300,000 / month (Commensurate with experience)

Experience: 8+ years of progressive inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain experience

About the Client: Careers Connect has been retained by a dynamic, fast-growing telecom services and wireless solutions provider to source a highly analytical and strategic leader for the position of Head of Inventories. This organization manages a high-volume, multi-regional distribution network and is looking for an exceptional professional to optimize stock governance, minimize variance, and streamline large-scale warehouse operations.

Position Summary: As the Head of Inventories, you will be the custodian of the company’s physical assets and stock integrity. You will design, implement, and oversee robust inventory control systems across multiple regional warehouses and distribution hubs. Reporting to senior management, your goal will be to maximize inventory accuracy, optimize capital allocation, reduce shrinkage, and ensure seamless stock availability to support rapid operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Stock Governance: Develop and execute end-to-end inventory management strategies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control frameworks across all storage facilities.
  • Reconciliation & Auditing: Lead continuous cycle counting, perpetual inventory programs, and comprehensive wall-to-wall physical audits to ensure 100% data alignment with the ERP system.
  • Variance & Shrinkage Control: Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes of stock losses or damages, and implement strict security and process mitigation measures.
  • Demand Planning & Optimization: Partner with Procurement and Sales teams to forecast demand, manage safety stock levels, and minimize holding costs while avoiding stockouts of critical telecom/wireless hardware.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, aging stock, and accuracy rates, presenting actionable insights directly to executive leadership.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and build the capacity of a distributed team of warehouse managers, inventory analysts, and logistics supervisors.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, MBA (Operations/Finance), or a related discipline. Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, or APICS) are highly advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in large-scale inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. Experience handling high-value electronic components, telecom hardware, or fast-moving tech hardware is highly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical agility, data analysis capabilities, and a meticulous eye for detail.

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
