Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and execution of distribution strategies to optimize reach and efficiency.
- Manage and evaluate the performance of the distribution network, including logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Develop and manage the sales and distribution budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant sales and distribution regulations and company policies.
- Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team and monitor their achievement.
- Implement and manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems to enhance sales effectiveness and customer engagement.
- Ownership of P/L.
- Drive channel development by identifying and expanding into new channels or regions to maximize market penetration.
- Ensure demand forecasting and sales planning are in sync with supply chain to maintain inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives within the sales and distribution function to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Establish incentive schemes and performance-based rewards to drive motivation and goal alignment across the sales force.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess execution on ground, gain consumer insights, and ensure distributor engagement.
- Develop succession plans and talent pipelines within the sales and distribution teams to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with finance and operations to streamline the order-to-cash process and improve working capital efficiency.
- Ensure effective distributor onboarding, training, and evaluation processes are in place.
- Monitor customer service levels and satisfaction metrics, ensuring prompt resolution of complaints and service issues.
- Prepare detailed sales and distribution performance reports for executive leadership, with strategic recommendations.
- Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line manager or management, in line with organizational goals and professional standards.
