Key Responsibilities:1. Payroll Processing

  • Collect, verify, and calculate employee timesheets and attendance records.
  • Process monthly salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately.
  • Maintain payroll system and ensure it’s updated with the latest employee data.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations (e.g., Provident Fund, ESI, Gratuity, Professional Tax, Income Tax).
  • Timely preparation and filing of statutory returns and reports.
  • Liaise with government agencies for compliance and inspections.

3. Employee Records & Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee payroll records.
  • Manage documentation related to salary revisions, promotions, resignations, full & final settlements, etc.

4. Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Prepare payroll reports for management (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Coordinate with the finance department for salary disbursement and account reconciliation.
  • Assist with audits related to payroll.

5. Employee Queries & Support

  • Address employee questions related to salaries, tax deductions, payslips, and other payroll matters.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies and ensure transparency.

6. System Management & Improvement

  • Work with HR and accounting software to streamline payroll operations.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for efficient payroll management.
