The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all human resource functions, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and organizational objectives. The role involves leading recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, and HR operations to foster a productive and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Human Resource Planning & Recruitment
a. Develop and implement manpower planning strategies in line with organizational requirements.
b. Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for all levels of staff.
c. Coordinate interviews, candidate assessments, reference checks, and onboarding activities.
d. Maintain talent pipelines and recruitment databases.
2. Employee Relations
a. Promote a positive workplace culture and maintain healthy employee relations.
b. Address employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policies.
c. Provide guidance to department heads on HR-related matters.
3. Performance Management
a. Administer and monitor the performance appraisal system.
b. Support management in setting KPIs, evaluating employee performance, and implementing improvement plans.
c. Facilitate probation reviews, confirmations, promotions, and transfers.
4. Compensation & Benefits
a. Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
b. Oversee payroll inputs, attendance records, leave management, and employee benefits administration.
c. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee compensation records.
5. Learning & Development
a. Identify training needs across departments and develop annual training plans.
b. Coordinate internal and external training programs to enhance employee competencies.
c. Monitor training effectiveness and employee development initiatives.
6. Policy Implementation & Compliance
a. Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company regulations.
b. Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
c. Conduct HR audits and maintain legal compliance documentation.
7. HR Operations & Administration
a. Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS databases, and personnel files.
b. Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
c. Oversee employee documentation including contracts, letters, certifications, and other HR correspondence.
8. Strategic HR Support
a. Partner with management to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
b. Support organizational restructuring, succession planning, and workforce development programs.
c. Contribute to employee engagement and retention strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
a. Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
b. Professional HR certifications will be considered an advantage.
c. Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
d. Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
