HR Executive – Retail/Hypermarket Sector (UAE)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HR Executive to manage core HR operations for a leading hypermarket chain in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume recruitment, HR administration, and compliance, with prior experience in the retail or hypermarket industry within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding (High-Volume Hiring)

  • Coordinate with store managers to identify and fulfill manpower requirements.
  • Conduct CV screening, schedule interviews, and perform initial HR rounds.
  • Manage mass hiring for frontline roles such as cashiers and sales associates.
  • Handle onboarding formalities and induction programs.
  • Liaise with the PRO team for visa processing and Emirates ID applications.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records (both digital and physical via HRMS).
  • Prepare and manage HR documentation: offer letters, contracts, memos, etc.
  • Track and submit payroll inputs (attendance, leave, overtime) to the HR Manager.
  • Manage probation reviews, confirmations, and contract renewals.

Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Address employee grievances in line with UAE Labour Law.
  • Oversee staff accommodation, transport, and welfare-related services.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding procedures.

Attendance & Leave Management

  • Monitor biometric attendance, shift scheduling, and leave balances.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of absences and leaves.

Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure full compliance with UAE Labour Law and internal policies.
  • Coordinate labor contracts, visa renewals, and submissions through MOHRE with PRO support.
  • Maintain compliance with WPS and resolve payroll-related issues.

Performance Management & Training

  • Assist in store-level performance evaluations and probation reviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date training records and support employee development initiatives.

Requirements: Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Degree must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Education and relevant authorities.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of HR experience in a retail/hypermarket/supermarket setting in the UAE.
  • Hands-on knowledge of UAE Labour Law, WPS, and visa processing.
  • Experience managing HR for a large workforce (500+ employees).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced retail environments.
  • Proficiency in HRMS systems (e.g., Olive).
  • Fluent in English; Hindi and Malayalam are a plus.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be open to traveling across UAE for store support.
  • Willingness to work extended hours/weekends during seasonal peaks.
