Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing efficient production processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and ensure optimal resource utilization. The role demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills to enhance manufacturing performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct time and motion studies to determine standard operating times and identify process bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement work measurement systems, line balancing, and production layouts for improved efficiency.
• Analyze and optimize manpower, material, and machine utilization to achieve production targets.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing operations.
• Evaluate new machinery, tools, and equipment for process improvements.
• Monitor daily production performance and recommend corrective actions to maintain productivity levels.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports on productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction achievements for management review.
• Train line supervisors and operators on process optimization and best industrial practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process optimization skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and industrial engineering tools/software.
• Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Time Study, Work Study, Line Balancing, and Process Flow Mapping.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in industrial engineering within a textile, apparel, or manufacturing industry.
