Logistics Dispatcher

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy Logistics Dispatcher to oversee and support our team of delivery drivers. This role focuses on monitoring driver performance, ensuring timely completion of deliveries, and providing remote assistance with operational and technical issues. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using spreadsheets and communication tools, with strong accountability and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor delivery drivers’ efficiency and performance throughout the day.
• Ensure drivers remain on track to complete all assigned deliveries.
• Use spreadsheets and data tracking tools to monitor delivery progress and performance metrics.
• Communicate with drivers in real-time via messaging apps to provide guidance and support.
• Hold drivers accountable for meeting delivery targets, schedules, and company standards.
• Assist drivers in troubleshooting technical issues related to the delivery app or devices.
• Coordinate with management to escalate challenges or operational concerns when necessary.
• Prepare basic performance reports and provide insights to improve delivery operations.
• Act as the liaison between our Delivery Associates and our client via messaging app to communicate tech troubleshooting, operational needs and daily closing out of all the packages at the end of the shift.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics, dispatching, or fleet management (remote management preferred).
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and data tracking tools (Excel/Google Sheets).
• Excellent communication skills via messaging apps, calls, and email.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot basic delivery app/device issues.
• Strong organizational and accountability skills.
• Familiarity with delivery operations or last-mile logistics is a plus.
