MANAGER MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS - PAKISTAN BANKS ASSOCIATION (PBA)
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Manager Marketing & Communications will play a key role in supporting PBA’s marketing, communications and brand management. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing, the role involves creating compelling content, managing digital channels, coordinating events and campaigns, and ensuring consistent brand visibility.
The role involves working closely with internal teams, member banks, media agencies, and external partners to ensure that PBA's voice is visible, consistent, and aligned with its broader policy and advocacy goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Content Development & Editorial Support
Draft, edit, and proofread content, including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, website copy, talking points, speeches, reports, and briefing materials.
Assist in preparing briefing packs, background notes, and information kits for key engagements and media interactions.
Assist in maintaining PBA’s editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of content aligned with key milestones, events, and policy announcements.
2. Digital & Social Media Management
Manage day-to-day content scheduling and community engagement with the social media agency across PBA’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, etc.).
Develop impactful digital campaign concepts around key dates, events, and industry initiatives.
Work with the digital agency to manage website upkeep and ensure prompt updates.
3. Design & Branding Oversight
Coordinate with design vendors and creative agencies on various projects, producing their marketing material - banners, brochures, videos, and reports aligned with PBA’s visual identity.
Ensure brand consistency across all external and internal communications.
4. Event & Campaign Coordination
Support the planning and execution of corporate events, conferences (e.g., Pakistan Banking Summit), webinars, roundtables, and townhalls.
Manage vendor coordination, logistics, collateral development, branding, and post-event reporting for both physical and virtual events.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field.
2 to 4 years of relevant experience in a corporate communications, public relations, media, or marketing role. Experience in the financial or nonprofit sector is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English (Urdu fluency a plus).
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Excellent coordination skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working across departments and with senior stakeholders.

The Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) is the apex industry platform representing the collective voice of the country’s banking and financial services sector. Established in 1953, PBA serves as a central coordinating body for banks operating in Pakistan, advocating for progressive reforms, digital innovation and transformation, payments systems and inclusive growth.
PBA’s core mandate is to facilitate policy advocacy, regulatory coordination, and development of the financial ecosystem by working closely with key stakeholders, including the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Ministry of Finance, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and other public and private sector partners.
