Manager – Technical Sales & Proposals

Job Summary

The role is responsible for leading the end-to-end proposal and tendering function, including technical and commercial bid preparation, cost estimation, and submission of competitive proposals for engineering projects/services. The incumbent will manage bid strategy, coordinate with technical, operations, and commercial teams, and ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality submissions to secure business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Proposal & Tender Management

  • Lead preparation and submission of technical and commercial proposals, tenders, and bids
  • Review RFQs/RFPs, tender documents, and client requirements
  • Develop bid strategy, pricing approach, and proposal structure
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and tender requirements
  • Manage complete proposal lifecycle from inquiry to submission

Estimation & Costing

  • Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing models
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations for technical inputs
  • Analyze project scope, risks, and commercial implications
  • Ensure competitive yet profitable pricing

Technical & Commercial Coordination

  • Liaise with internal technical, design, and operations teams
  • Coordinate with procurement/vendors for quotations and cost inputs
  • Support contract negotiation and commercial clarifications
  • Participate in client meetings, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions

Bid Strategy & Business Support

  • Identify new tender opportunities and evaluate feasibility
  • Improve proposal quality, win rate, and turnaround time
  • Maintain proposal database, templates, and documentation
  • Analyze lost bids and recommend improvements
  • Support sales/business development in closing opportunities

Leadership

  • Lead and mentor proposal/estimation team
  • Allocate tenders and monitor timelines
  • Establish proposal SOPs, quality, and compliance standards
  • Report pipeline, bid status, and performance to management

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial or relevant)

Experience

  • 3–5 years in Proposals, Tendering, Estimation, or Technical Sales
  • Experience in engineering / EPC / MEP / industrial services / oil & gas / manufacturing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
