Job Objective
Responsible for locating and purchasing of ship chandlery supplies, receiving quotes from suppliers, creating product codes, preparing POs and ensuring timely procurement of materials. Support sales team to provide quotations, supplies and other documentation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Receive quotations from Suppliers and negotiate for discounted price
Identify/locate new reliable suppliers as per the requirement of materials
Make new product codes in Oracle Fusion
Prepare Purchase Orders and send to suppliers
Coordinate with store and maintain the stock of moving items
Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries
Coordinate with store keeper for receiving the materials and proper arrangement for easy access and deliveries
Coordinate with Local Purchase Assistant for Urgent supplies
Follow specified systems, policies and procedures, compliance with legal and Risk Management in all activities
Prepare weekly and monthly stock report to be forwarded to submitted to Management
Perform Other Duties As Required
Education & Professional Qualification:
Minimum 2 years Diploma or Bachelor Degree in any field
Professional Experience
3 - 5 years experience in a similar office administration job and at least 2-3 years in a procurement role.
Computer Skills
MS Office package and knowledge of Oracle is preferred
Language Skills
Business fluent English, Hindi is preferred
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge
Product knowledge of Ship Chandlery items and understanding of their application
