JOB DESCRIPTION OF MEP COORDINATOOR

Education / Experience

Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent (specialization on HVAC, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and Lighting & Small Power is a plus)

5 years’ experience in MEP construction site activities (in SS business would preferable) Prior Civil Works experience in UAE of project or international

Business understanding (market knowledge in area of work, intl. exposure & awareness)

Knowledge of scheduling and subcontractor management in CW building field Capacity to work in international context

Good oral/written communication skills in English

Specific knowledge

Prior experience in UAE of HV substations civil aspect is a plus Knowledge of NOC, COC and all permit processes in Dubai would be a + Computer literate (Excel, MS Project, Any Civil Design Software etc.)

Having previously approval working by “TAQA”

Monitor the execution of MEP design and construction

Assisting the PM in managing the interfaces between EM erection, CW and MEP works

Supervising the MEP construction subcontractor(s)

Manage the MEP subcontractors to deliver timely and within budget the MEP of the project.

Attending, as required by PM, coordination, and progress meetings with Client.

Attending coordination and progress meeting with the subcontractors

MEP reporting document preparation

Reviewing any design modification during construction stage with regards to cost and schedule impact

Ensuring MEP construction is in accordance with drawings, specifications, and in line with schedule.

Ensuring QEHS plan is effectively implemented at site.

Controlling and measuring, according to the methodology set for the construction works, the progress of the works and report to Project Manager

Assisting Project Manager in terms of risk and opportunity analysis, highlighting any design deviation, assumption or delay which may impact the overall schedule or MEP cost.

Ensuring compliance to PMH, EMH, GRID Quality Policy & IMS procedures

Ensuring compliance with EHS policy and procedures Recording and reporting of Quality Objectives & KPI data
