MEP Cost Control Engineer

An MEP Cost Control Engineer manages budgetary, material, and manpower allocations for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects, aiming to minimize cost overruns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparing cost estimates, cash flow projections, and monitoring budget compliance.
  • Contract Administration: Evaluating contractor interim payments, final accounts, and managing variations.
  • Procurement Support: Coordinating with procurement to ensure cost-effective MEP execution and sourcing.
  • Analysis: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending alternative materials/methods.
  • Reporting: Preparing commercial reports on project expenditures and potential variances.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience: 5–15 years in MEP cost control within the UAE construction sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and valuation of variations.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per hour
