An MEP Cost Control Engineer manages budgetary, material, and manpower allocations for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects, aiming to minimize cost overruns.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparing cost estimates, cash flow projections, and monitoring budget compliance.
- Contract Administration: Evaluating contractor interim payments, final accounts, and managing variations.
- Procurement Support: Coordinating with procurement to ensure cost-effective MEP execution and sourcing.
- Analysis: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending alternative materials/methods.
- Reporting: Preparing commercial reports on project expenditures and potential variances.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- Experience: 5–15 years in MEP cost control within the UAE construction sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and valuation of variations.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per hour
