MEP ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for residential, commercial, and high-rise developments.
• Interpret architectural and structural layouts to develop integrated MEP design solutions in compliance with local building codes and project specifications.
• Perform detailed load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout designs for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems using industry tools.
• Prepare and review technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and other modeling software.
• Coordinate MEP designs with structural, architectural, and civil engineering teams to ensure smooth integration across disciplines.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements submitted by subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installations, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and technical standards.
• Oversee and support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of MEP systems during handover.
• Focus on energy-efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable system design and execution.
• Resolve technical issues with consultants, suppliers, and client representatives as needed.
• Contribute to the development of internal standards, processes, and training initiatives related to MEP work.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Hands-on experience in all aspects of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• 8 to 10 years of experience managing MEP design and supervision for villas, commercial projects, and high-rise buildings.
• Knowledge of MEP design tools (e.g., HAP, Duct Sizer, Dialux, ETAP, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with local and international standards such as:
• ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, DEWA, MEW, etc.
• Preferred age range: 30–35 years.
• Valid driving license is mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• Flexible to work under pressure and accommodate extended working hours when required.
