Island Aquatics NJ is hiring enthusiastic, reliable, and safety-focused Swim Instructors for the 2026 summer season! If you love working with children, enjoy being outdoors, and have a passion for water safety, we’d love to have you on our team.

Job Type: Seasonal, Part-Time (May – September)

Location: Mobile position – lessons at client homes (South Jersey Shore / Atlantic County area)

Schedule: Flexible based on your availability

• $28 per 30-minute lesson
• $34 per 45-minute lesson
• $43 per 60-minute lesson
• Weekly direct deposit

Responsibilities

• Provide private, in-home swim lessons to children and adults
• Create a safe, positive, and confidence-building learning environment
• Arrive on time (5+ minutes early) to all scheduled lessons
• Maintain communication with Island Aquatics regarding availability and scheduling
• Track and submit weekly timesheets, including mileage and tolls
• Ensure all lessons follow safety guidelines and company standards

Scheduling Expectations

• Lessons are booked through our app based on your availability
• You cannot book clients independently—all scheduling goes through Island Aquatics
• Consistent attendance and reliability are required

Requirements

• Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, babysitting, etc.)
• Strong swimming ability
• Reliable transportation
• Positive, patient, and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently
• Must follow a student-centered, encouraging teaching approach

Dress Code

• Professional swim attire required (rash guard + appropriate swimwear)
• Clean, modest, and functional appearance
