Payroll Administrator

<Responsibilities>

• Manage the complete payroll cycle using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, benefits, and deductions
• Perform detailed data entry and account reconciliation to verify payroll data integrity and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Process payroll-related transactions including journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation within accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft
• Maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions, tax filings, and benefits administration activities in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
• Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure proper benefits administration and compliance with employment laws
• Conduct analysis of payroll reports for accuracy and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Assist with governmental reporting, tax filings, and audits related to payroll and non-profit accounting practices

<Experience>

• Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate or non-profit environment using HRIS platforms such as Workday or Kronos
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation
• Familiarity with multiple payroll software systems including ADP, Ceridian, UltiPro, or equivalent platforms
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex data entry tasks accurately using 10 key typing skills
• Understanding of benefits administration processes and tax regulations related to payroll processing
• Experience working with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus
• Excellent analysis skills coupled with attention to detail; ability to interpret financial concepts effectively
