Sobha Furniture is the newest segment in the Sobha enterprise to partner with our Realty and Construction partners to bring high quality and craftsmanship, Sobha is known for, into the furniture industry. The office is based in Dubai, and has local factories that build furniture, kitchens, and wardrobes. Planning to expand in 2025, the team is expanding to accommodate our speed to market.

Job Profile - Procurement Executive

Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Procurement Executive – Upholstery Division is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and components specific to upholstery production, such as Steel, fabrics, foams, wood, chemical, adhesive and accessories. The role ensures timely procurement at optimal cost and quality, supporting smooth production and delivery operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure upholstery materials including fabrics, leather, foam, wood, metal frames, and accessories.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and monitor supplier performance.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with production to forecast material requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase requisition to purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to understand material specifications and trends.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers or alternative materials to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 3–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in furniture or upholstery manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of upholstery materials and production processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with international sourcing and logistics.
  • Experience in UAE or Middle East market
  • Valid driving license preferred (for supplier visits and local sourcing coordination).
  • Familiarity with textile and furniture industry standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.

Please note - The location for this profile is Dubai (Technopark) but in between you may have to travel to Kezad in Abu Dhabi. We have shuttle buses at no cost from different places in Dubai and you can access the same if you don't have an automobile of your own
