Cotton Dimples is a fast-growing, omni-channel baby and toddler clothing brand with retail presence in Karachi and Lahore and a strong e-commerce footprint. We specialize in thoughtfully designed, high-quality apparel and accessories for newborns to young children, blending comfort, functionality, and style.

We are now looking for a Product Development & Merchandising Manager to take full ownership of product development — from design alignment to sourcing, feasibility, and handover to production.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for end-to-end product development and merchandising execution — ensuring that every product is commercially viable, operationally feasible, and ready for smooth production handover.

The ideal candidate will:

Take ownership of product feasibility, costing, and sourcing

Ensure production readiness across all articles

Drive timelines and coordination across teams

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

Manage the product lifecycle from design handover to production readiness

Work closely with designers, pattern masters, and production teams to finalize fits, fabrics, trims, and finishes

Ensure product functionality (baby-friendly features, comfort, durability) is maintained

Feasibility & Costing Ownership

Evaluate product feasibility in terms of production capability, cost, and timelines

Develop and manage costing sheets ensuring target margins are achieved

Optimize designs where required to balance aesthetics with commercial viability

Sourcing & Procurement

Identify, develop, and manage vendors for fabrics, trims, and accessories

Negotiate pricing, timelines, and quality standards with suppliers

Ensure consistent material availability aligned with development timelines

Production Readiness & Handover

Ensure all styles are fully developed, approved, and ready for bulk production

Coordinate with production teams for smooth handover of finalized styles

Maintain timelines to ensure adherence to launch calendars

Merchandising & Performance Tracking

Monitor product performance (sell-through, margins, inventory turnover)

Provide inputs for replenishment, markdowns, and future product planning

Work closely with retail and e-commerce teams to align product availability

Cross-Functional Coordination

Align with marketing, retail, and e-commerce teams for product launches

Ensure accurate product information is shared for listings and campaigns

Ideal Candidate Profile

5–8 years of experience in product development, merchandising, or sourcing (preferably in apparel or kidswear)

Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes

Proven experience in vendor management and sourcing

Strong commercial mindset with ability to balance design and profitability

Excellent organizational and project management skills

Hands-on, ownership-driven, and detail-oriented

Experience in baby/toddler or fashion retail is a strong plus
