About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator with a solid background in healthcare IT to support the planning, execution, and delivery of healthcare projects. The ideal candidate should be familiar with EDI processes, NCCI guidelines, healthcare documentation, and compliance standards. This role requires strong coordination skills to ensure smooth communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and management while helping transform complex workflows into clear project tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating project activities, timelines, and deliverables across teams and stakeholders.
- Collect and organize requirements from healthcare providers, business users, and technical teams.
- Support development, QA, and product teams to ensure project tasks align with business and compliance objectives.
- Facilitate and monitor EDI-related activities (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, etc.) and coordinate with clearinghouses, payers, and providers to maintain seamless data flow.
- Ensure project tasks follow NCCI (National Correct Coding Initiative) rules and healthcare billing workflows.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including requirement summaries, workflow diagrams, and task lists.
- Assist in process reviews, gap analysis, and project-level improvement initiatives.
- Ensure project compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with QA teams to support test planning and validation activities.
- Monitor ongoing enhancements, track issues, and ensure timely communication and resolution for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in project coordination or business analysis within the healthcare domain.
- Understanding of Healthcare EDI standards (X12, HL7) and claims workflows.
- Awareness of NCCI rules, billing processes, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Strong skills in documentation, task tracking, and workflow coordination.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with EHR/EMR systems or healthcare practice management tools.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum project environments.
- Exposure to payer–provider integration initiatives.
