Senior Project Manager: Consultative Software Delivery (Full-time, Lahore)

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to manage large-scale, complex software delivery projects. This pivotal role requires 5-7 years of progressive experience, combining deep technical oversight with crucial client consulting to ensure successful delivery and strategic business growth.

You will be expected to lead execution, manage all project variables (scope, budget, quality), and act as a trusted advisor to clients on market readiness, scalability, and value expansion.

Core Role Responsibilities1. End-to-End Technical Delivery Leadership

• Oversight: Take complete managerial and technical responsibility for projects from start to finish, strictly meeting deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
• Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and detailed plans, ensuring architectural soundness and alignment with all stakeholders.
• Technical Focus: Ensure execution focuses heavily on core technical aspects like system integrations, APIs, database interactions, and high engineering standards.
• Artifacts: Translate business needs into clear technical documentation (e.g., solution diagrams, process flows).

2. Strategic Client Consultation & Business Value

• Advisory Role: Serve as a strategic consultant, guiding clients on project scalability, market positioning, and long-term success.
• Upsell & Growth: Proactively identify and capitalize on upsell and value-add opportunities by understanding client needs and market potential.
• Communication: Act as the critical link, translating abstract business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for engineering teams.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain transparent, trusted relationships with clients and effectively coordinate all involved parties (teams, vendors, stakeholders).

3. Risk Management & Monitoring

• Tracking & Reporting: Use professional tools to track progress, produce regular reports on milestones, dependencies, and risks, and manage the Change Control process.
• Technical Risk: Specialize in managing technical risks related to architecture, performance, integration, and scalability.
• Escalation: Promptly escalate critical issues to senior management, providing actionable recommendations.

4. Team Leadership & Innovation

• Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and empower cross-functional technical teams, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
• Adaptability: Be flexible to adopt various roles (PM, Product Owner, Scrum Master) based on the chosen methodology (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Innovation: Stay current on emerging technologies (AI/automation) to continuously optimize delivery strategies and guide clients toward market success.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5-7 years of progressive Project Management experience, with a focus on senior roles managing complex software/technical projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.).
• Certifications (Highly Desirable): PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master.
• Technical Depth: Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, system integrations, and database concepts (SQL/NoSQL).
• Consulting & Acumen: Proven ability to bridge business strategy with technical delivery, identify upsell opportunities, and provide high-level client consultation.
• Methodologies: Proficient in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
