Job Description:

The Purchase Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the procurement of food ingredients, beverages, equipment, and other operational supplies required for the F&B establishments. This role involves supervising the purchasing team, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with UAE regulations. The Purchase Supervisor also collaborates with other departments to support efficient operations and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating & clearing the issues with the suppliers, if they have any issues with deliveries, quality or any other concerns from the operations
  • Enquiring about new items and quotations based on the requirement from the operation team
  • Negotiating the prices with the supplier based on the market study
  • Develop Reports for the inventory tracking for the shops
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize purchasing activities and achieve cost saving while meeting the quality and delivery requirements
  • Coordinating with internal departments for purchasing needs, forecast demand and develop procurement plans accordingly
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, supplier performance and product satisfaction to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Manage the purchase order process, ensuring accurate and timely purchase order creation, issuance and tracking
  • Supporting general accounting operations, including journal entries and financial documentation.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the F&B industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and procurement management software (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
