Role Overview

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be responsible for managing all cost and quantity-related aspects of the development works at Grand City Faisalabad. The role ensures accurate measurement, cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control of civil and infrastructure works while maintaining compliance with project specifications and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil, infrastructure, and building works.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits.
  • Evaluate the financial feasibility of design and development proposals.

2. Quantity Take-Offs & BOQs

  • Carry out detailed quantity take-offs for all project works.
  • Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of quantity calculations.

3. Tendering & Contracts

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bid evaluations, and contract agreements.
  • Support procurement and negotiation processes with contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance of contracts with legal and regulatory requirements.

4. Measurement & Valuation

  • Measure and value work done on-site for contractor payments (interim and final).
  • Verify contractor bills and certify payments in line with actual executed work.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and cost adjustments when required.

5. Site Coordination & Monitoring

  • Coordinate with engineers, site staff, and contractors to verify progress and material quantities.
  • Ensure accurate material reconciliation between BOQ, site usage, and stock records.
  • Conduct site visits for measurement verification.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare regular reports on cost, progress, and variances for management.
  • Maintain documentation of all quantity and cost-related records.
  • Provide timely updates on budget utilization and cost forecasts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying (PEC Registered preferred).
  • Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in real estate / construction projects (infrastructure & buildings).
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, contracts, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS-related software.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs75,000.00 per month
