We are looking for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor with solid exposure to UAE construction projects and regulations. The selected candidate will work remotely from Pakistan and support UAE-based teams in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, and post-contract activities. This role requires a strong understanding of UAE market rates, FIDIC contracts, authority regulations, and international QS practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with drawings, specifications, and UAE market requirements.
- Conduct cost estimation and budgeting for residential, commercial, infrastructure, and high-rise projects.
- Analyze contract documents, tender drawings, and specifications for pre- and post-contract cost control.
- Support Dubai-based teams with variation orders, interim payments, final accounts, and commercial reports.
- Prepare comparison sheets for supplier/subcontractor quotations and issue procurement recommendations.
- Coordinate with UAE consultants, clients, and contractors via email, Zoom, and project collaboration platforms.
- Assist in claims preparation and contract administration in line with FIDIC / UAE authority practices.
- Stay updated with UAE market rates, construction trends, and authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, etc.).
- Prepare reports, payment certificates, and other contractual documentation in coordination with UAE office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE.
- Familiar with UAE construction practices, regulations, and authority documentation.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts, UAE pricing norms, and tendering procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Planswift, and QS software such as Candy / CostX / Bluebeam.
- Excellent command over English (written and verbal) for coordination with UAE clients and teams.
- Member of PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council); RICS or CIOB membership is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in residential towers, villas, commercial fit-outs, infrastructure, and design-build projects.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- UAE driving license is a plus (for future relocation/travel, if needed).
