Recruitment Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and organized Recruitment Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified seafarers and shore-based personnel to support our growing fleet and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for vessel and office positions.
• Source qualified seafarers through databases, online platforms, and local manning agencies.
• Conduct initial screening, interviews, and document verification of applicants.
• Coordinate with crewing managers and vessel departments for crew deployment and rotation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations (STCW, MLC, etc.).
• Maintain and update the crew database and personnel records.
• Assist in preparing employment contracts and other related documents.
• Participate in job fairs and recruitment events as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Maritime Studies, or related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in recruitment or crewing (preferably in the shipping/maritime industry).
• Strong understanding of maritime documentation and certification requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with HR or crewing software.
