Position Overview
Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K&ndash;8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.
AMS is seeking a passionate, data-driven 4th Grade Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and build strong foundational literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction &amp; Student Achievement<ul><li>
Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.</li><li>
Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.</li><li>
Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.</li><li>
Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.</li></ul>
Classroom Culture &amp; Student Support<ul><li>
Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.</li><li>
Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.</li><li>
Support students&rsquo; academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.</li></ul>
Collaboration &amp; Professional Growth<ul><li>
Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.</li><li>
Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve teaching practices.</li><li>
Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>
Family Engagement<ul><li>
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.</li><li>
Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or relevant content area) 
OR</li><li>
Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area 
OR</li><li>
Minimum of three (3) years of K&ndash;12 teaching experience</li></ul>
Additionally, candidates must:<ul><li>
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills</li><li>
Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card</li><li>
Show commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities</li><li>
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset</li><li>
Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment</li></ul>
