Role Overview 
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Reporting Manager. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in the preparation and review of the company&rsquo;s financial statements and related disclosures. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to financial management, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support strategic decision-making through precise financial analysis and reporting.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory standards </li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data </li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling </li><li>Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals </li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities </li><li>Maintain compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements such as Securities law and Wills, trusts &amp; estate law </li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations </li><li>Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms for accurate bookkeeping and reporting </li><li>Perform detailed financial analysis including cash flow analysis, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation </li><li>Prepare regulatory reports and assist with tax filings based on tax experience and regulatory standards </li><li>Mentor junior staff members in technical accounting practices and best procedures for financial management</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred </li><li>Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or governmental accounting environments </li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits, and financial concepts </li><li>Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required </li><li>Familiarity with SOX compliance, LIHTC programs, non-profit accounting standards, securities law, and regulatory reporting standards is highly desirable </li><li>Experience with financial statement preparation, financial report writing &amp; interpretation is essential </li><li>Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliation &amp; account analysis accurately </li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for management decision-making </li><li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to mentor team members is a plus</li></ul>This position provides an engaging environment for professionals passionate about maintaining high standards of financial integrity while supporting organizational growth.Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>On-site gym</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chicago, IL 60601
