</div><div>To perform aircraft avionics maintenance and repair tasks under close supervision as instructed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.<br>
Perform O, I and D Level when its applicable.<br>

1. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

2. Perform routine tasks related to inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining less complex avionics aircraft systems, components and related equipment.<br>
3. Assemble and disassemble parts prior to and post maintenance according to the standard procedures and report any malfunction to supervisor.<br>
4. Adjust frequencies of radio sets by signaling ground station and turning setscrews.<br>
5. Assist in checking components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.<br>
6. Perform tasks related maintaining basic launch and recovery equipment to ensure they are working appropriately.
<br>
7. Perform tasks related to installing and maintaining visual landing aids as instructed and according to adopted procedures.<br>
8. Assist in maintaining logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.<br>
9. Perform tasks related to identifying maintenance and troubleshooting requirements for avionics parts and equipment during aircraft recovery.<br>
10. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.<br>
11. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.<br>
12. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Your Opportunity
</p><p>The instructor will conduct, and assist in the development of, maintenance training programs to enhance the skills of trainees. The instructor will conduct a platform and other instruction with trainee assessment and will provide remedial training where necessary. The instructor will review/amend course material in order to ensure training effectiveness. S/he will also maintain records of training activities and of student attendance.</p><p></p><p><br>

Key Accountabilities</p><ul><li><p>
Perform instruction on aircraft maintenance fundamentals, safety, inspection, technical publications, aircraft systems and components, aviation regulations and other related topics.</p></li><li><p>
Work with course developers, providing the necessary technical information and guidance.</p></li><li><p>
Review, assist in the development of, and/or revise courses using the systems approach (SAT or ADDIE).</p></li><li><p>
Prepare program syllabi detailing maintenance courses which will be conducted to produce employees qualified to perform aircraft maintenance.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare classes in support of specific platform and other syllabi. Classes should be planned to cater for trainees with varying degrees of subject matter knowledge</p></li><li><p>
Conduct desired classroom and platform instruction as required. Classes should be presented in such a fashion that learning is progressive and effective.</p></li><li><p>
Perform intermediate and terminal assessments to determine the extent to which learning is taking place. Each assessment shall be documented to maintain accountability and to assist in recognizing any trends in those areas where obstacles to training exist.</p></li><li><p>
Review assessment reports and course evaluations to amend training courses, as necessary, to ensure effectiveness of training.</p></li><li><p>
Maintain trainee records, and collaborate with other Instructors.</p></li><li><p>

Specific Requirements</p><ul><li><p>
Instructor will have a minimum of three (3) years experience teaching technical (maintenance) material with a related aircraft/engine/major component manufacturer, or within a military/civilian aircraft maintenance organization.</p></li><li><p>
Instructor will have a minimum of eight (8) years practical experience in the required discipline (A&amp;P or Avionics) with a demonstrated aptitude for instructing.</p></li><li><p>
Prior experience working with military aviation units is preferred</p></li><li>
Proven technical experience on air platforms from one of the following nations - UAE, US, Australia and/or South Korea</li><li><p>
Knowledge of, and experience in, training methodologies and management utilizing a systems approach (SAT or ADDIE) is highly desirable</p></li><li><p>
Civilian aircraft maintenance licence or certificate, e.g. (Mechanical) A&amp;P certificate or B1 licence</p></li><li><p>

Instructor - Air Frame & Power Plant

</div><div>The Manager Filed Services in engineering department is responsible for all design activities carried by engineering team and handles the of development &amp; sustainment of the DOA (Design Organization Approval).
<br>

1. Manages all Engineering aspects relevant to the following Design department which is divided in 3 sections: a) Design b) Tooling &amp; Equipment &amp; c) Repairs Engineering, considering all are at the highest level of compliance to the aerospace airworthiness standards i.e. EASA / FAA Part 21 or equivalent.<br>
2. Responsible for technical and non-technical data production, testing, verification, analysis, coordination and management of design execution, i.e. development, manufacturing, simulation/testing and certification efforts.<br>
3. Manages the Repairs Engineering Function within GAL, where any repair undergoes stringent design constraints and certification.
<br>
4. Leads all the R &amp; D efforts and Reverse Engineering within GAL in order to avoid Obsolescence with Customer Aircraft.<br>
5. Manages the design, development, testing and certification activities for tools &amp; Equipment to support the base.
<br>
6. Manages development of the certification activities for new special processes &amp; Engineering methods for the base.
<br>
7. Innovatively builds PMA (Part Manufacturer Approval) or equivalent capability within GAL (base).
<br>
8. Leads LRU (Line replacement unit) level engineering in technological improvement context (process, repair, manufacturing, test etc.) activities.<br>
9. Manages and monitors system level engineering activities i.e. (design, validation, qualification, test etc.) in order to meet all compliance requirements and provides the customer solutions which are achievable, cost effective and compliant with authorities.

10. Develops technical, financial, resource, programmatic and content management plans for the Design Department.<br>
11. Leads the Technical / Design relevant liaison with OEMs (Original Equipment manufacturers) and suppliers as required.<br>
12. Ensures that the materials, processes and specifications used in the deliverables are fully compliant with aviation norms as applicable.<br>
13. Prepare and follow training/development programs (PIP, CDP etc.) for all UAE staff in report line<br>
14. Develops, plans and manages performance metrics and training programs for staff in the report line.<br>
15. Establishes an effective internal/external communication and team environment to encourage teamwork, innovation, performance excellence and human values such as work ethic.<br>
16. Ensures all tasks and deliverables are in full compliance with the applicable Company and Department policies and procedures, safety and airworthiness standards and requirements.<br>
17. Establishes and evaluate employee performance standards and appraise as required.

18. Supervises and guides the section&rsquo;s staff members regarding productivity and efficiency<br>
19. Meets Objectives, other responsibilities and KPI set by the VP of Engineering<br>

21. Maintains regular contact with technical department of all GAL customers to remain abreast of any technical difficulties that arise on the aircraft being supported.<br>
22. Attends conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary to remain abreast of the technical advances in the field of aviation with respect to the customers&rsquo; aircraft being supported by GAL<br>
23. Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account &lsquo;international best practice&rsquo;, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement<br>
24. Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports of GAL to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards<br>
25. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.<br>
26. Recommends an optimum organization structure for the Engineering Management section so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner<br>
27. Prepares budget using inputs from department heads and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.<br>
28. Manages full compliance with Audit, Risk and quality standards so that all employees satisfactorily meet and receive sign off from quality and Internal Audit requirements and investigations<br>
29. Leads and manages the department by overseeing the staff&rsquo;s performance, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence<br>
30. Monitors and advises on departmental training needs and lead interactions with the HR function to provide appropriate training provision so that all employees have the required user capability to enable delivery of functional/ departmental objectives.<br>
31. Motivates one&rsquo;s own team and identifies opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.<br>
