 We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi from individuals who have or will soon receive a PhD in sociology, social psychology, computational social science, computer science, information science, data science, or a closely related field.  The post-doctoral associate will spend half their time on independent research, and half their time on collaborative research with Professors Mario D. Molina, Minsu Park, and Blaine Robbins. The collaborative research will be large-scale analyses of digital traces (e.g., Yelp, Airbnb, Stack Exchange) and virtual lab experiments to study how ingroup favoritism and group boundaries coevolve in multiplex communities; how attribute- and opinion-based cues shape insider/outsider categorization, intergroup relations, and social cohesion; and how to design interventions that promote inclusivity, fairness, and productive discourse online.
 
 
 We seek a candidate with expertise in the following four areas: (1) working with large-scale digital trace data; (2) building and running natural language processing and machine learning workflows; (3) experimental design and causal inference (including virtual lab experiments); and/or (4) network or computational modeling. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in applying these tools to questions of group formation, intergroup relations, and the distribution of resources on online platforms. This is an excellent position for a computational social scientist or a computer/data scientist eager to transition into the social sciences.
 
 
 The position does not require teaching, but it may be possible to get teaching experience for compensation. You would join a group of over 20 post-doctoral fellows and 70 faculty in the Division of Social Science.

The Product Strategy and Operations (PSO) team's mission is to lead the change & be the driving force to turn product to market success. We do this by focusing on helping build great products, driving GTM strategy for our ever-evolving ads product and automating our processes for driving customer success and internal workflows. Our team is constantly reinventing how we do things to meet the demands of our internal stakeholders and external clients.
 
What we're looking for: 
As part of the PSO team, we are looking for a product marketing professional with a background in media to lead the go-to-market for performance marketing in METAP for our gaming vertical. The role involves close collaboration with both in-market sales and headquarters product teams in a high-growth environment. Abilities to self-motivate, prioritise and influence partners are key skills. Ideal candidates should have experience working with digital advertising products and also be familiar with eCommerce, retail, CPG and/or other related industries.

<li>Partner with Sales leadership, Business Marketing, and Product Marketing Managers to set long-term objectives and develop go-to-market strategies for gaming clients.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Product Management, HQ , and sales teams to build customer-centric solutions for our advertisers in the region.</li>
<li>Develop best practices through the lens of clients to drive business outcomes for our clients.</li>
<li>Partner closely with sales teams and utilise data proficiently to deeply understand pain points, formulate business requirements and prioritise solutions to influence the direction of product development.</li>

Qualifications
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience;</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in advertising technology products with a strong commercial mindset and proven performance track record.</li>
<li>Experience or strong understanding of the gaming industry, including in-app advertising and in-app purchase business models.</li>
<li>Strategic thinker with basic data analytics skills to derive insights and inform decisions.</li>
<li>High oral fluency in Arabic or Turkish is preferred to communicate directly with business partners, external clients, and agencies across the METAP region, reflecting the nature of the markets this position covers.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:

<li>MBA degree</li>
<li>Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and strategic perspective on digital marketing and advertising technology products.</li>
