Write preliminary reports on all ISCEV standard testing protocols performed and meet proficiency requirements of the department. &bull; Perform complex ophthalmic microperimetry and manual kinetic perimetry. &bull; Performs duties proficiently in multicenter clinical trials and fulfillment of applicable certification requirements. &bull; Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment to conduct appropriate tests and procedures. &bull; Prepare the necessary supplies for photography, ultrasound and electrophysiology, exams, and procedures. &bull; Provide maintenance of all imaging equipment. &bull; Troubleshoot complex diagnostic testing and PACS problems. &bull; Provide direct patient care in the diagnostic department. &bull; Provide patient care support for other services, when necessary. &bull; Prepare exam results for interpretation by physician. &bull; Consult with physician concerning test results and alert physician to positive test results or test abnormalities. &bull; Report patient concerns, symptoms, reactions and changes to licensed clinic personnel. &bull; Serve as liaison between the medical staff and patients to answer questions, coordinate patient care, and/or provide patient education. &bull; Monitor and track work requests. &bull; Assist in research photography. &bull; Provide advanced photography for research publications, presentations, posters, and papers. &bull; Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with organizational safety policies and according to applicable regulations; maintain a neat workstation and environment. &bull; Provide excellent customer service. &bull; Maintain confidentiality of all records and information related to patients, physicians, employees, the University and in related interests. &bull; Obtain, document and update in appropriate system(s) all necessary patient information.</li><li>
General Administrative Duties &bull; Triage patient issues to achieve timely resolution. &bull; Respond to requests by doctors and staff during clinic. &bull; Maintain clinic/patient flow, balancing diagnostic testing requirements, patient appointment times, and non-appointment activities. &bull; Coordinate service requests with appropriate vendors and USC IT teams. &bull; Assist clinical manager with design and implementation of educational programs, which support professional growth and staff development. &bull; Provide structured cross training to enhance the diagnostic team&rsquo;s skill sets. &bull; Assist with pharmaceutical inventory and logs; identify variances. &bull; Always maintain and protect patient confidentiality. &bull; Support and participate in department huddles and team meetings. &bull; Demonstrate KNOWN service standards.</li><li>

Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Req High school or equivalent</li><li>
Req Associate's degree</li><li>
Combined experience/education, as substitute for minimum education.</li></ul><ul><li>
Req 3 years Minimum three years&rsquo; experience serving as an Ophthalmic Photographer in high volume setting.</li><li>
Req Experience serving as an Ophthalmic Photographer in clinical trials, hospital, academic or like institution(s).</li><li>
Req Ultrasound or electrophysiology experience</li></ul><ul><li>
Req Possess a working knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy &amp; physiology, relevant modalities and the application of photographic techniques.</li><li>
Req Excellent interpersonal skills which promote pleasant and effective communication with patients, staff, and doctors.</li><li>
Req Demonstrate professional and effective work skills to handle all responsibilities within a fast-paced, high pressure setting.</li><li>

Pref Certified Phlebotomy Technician - CPT (CA DPH) Phlebotomy Certification.</li></ul>

The hourly rate range for this position is $34.50 - $58.65.
