In Saudi Arabia, this role is typically performed within a regulated mining environment overseen by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, with strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and technical discipline.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Operate drilling rigs and related equipment safely and efficiently.</li><li>Drill blast holes, exploration holes, grade-control holes, or dewatering holes as required by the mine plan.</li><li>Read and follow drilling patterns, bench layouts, coordinates, and supervisor instructions.</li><li>Check hole depth, angle, alignment, and collar position to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Conduct pre-start inspections and routine daily equipment checks.</li><li>Monitor drilling parameters such as penetration rate, pressure, rotation, and bit wear.</li><li>Replace drill bits, rods, hammers, and other consumables when needed.</li><li>Report equipment defects, abnormal ground conditions, and safety hazards immediately.</li><li>Maintain drilling logs, shift reports, meter readings, and production records.</li><li>Coordinate with blasting, survey, geology, maintenance, and mine operations teams.</li><li>Keep the rig, tools, and work area clean and in safe working condition.</li><li>Follow all site HSE rules, permit systems, isolation procedures, and emergency response requirements.</li></ul><p>HSE Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Comply with company HSE policies, mine rules, and toolbox talk instructions.</li><li>Wear mandatory PPE at all times.</li><li>Stop work if unsafe conditions exist.</li><li>Inspect work area for ground instability, highwalls, loose rocks, poor access, or other hazards.</li><li>Ensure safe handling of fuel, lubricants, compressed air, and drilling consumables.</li><li>Report incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.</li><li>Support environmental controls such as dust suppression, spill prevention, and waste handling.</li></ul><p>Qualification Requirements</p><ul><li>High school, technical certificate, or vocational training preferred.</li><li>Valid operator certification or drilling equipment training preferred.</li><li>Experience operating surface or underground drilling rigs in mining, quarrying, or heavy civil works.</li><li>Good understanding of drilling methods, hole deviation control, and basic rig maintenance.</li><li>Ability to work in remote sites, shift rotations, and harsh weather conditions.</li></ul><p>Skills Required</p><ul><li>Safe rig operation</li><li>Basic mechanical troubleshooting</li><li>Knowledge of drilling tools and consumables</li><li>Ability to read plans and drilling instructions</li><li>Communication and teamwork</li><li>Recordkeeping and reporting</li><li>Physical fitness and field discipline</li></ul><p>Preferred Experience</p><ul><li>Experience in <b>open-pit mining</b>, <b>underground mining</b>, or <b>exploration drilling</b></li><li>Experience with OEM rigs such as Sandvik, Epiroc, Atlas Copco, or similar</li><li>Familiarity with drilling and blasting operations</li><li>Experience working under strict mining safety systems</li></ul><p>Reporting Line</p><p>Typically reports to:<br/><b>Drilling Supervisor / Mine Supervisor / Drill &amp; Blast Supervisor</b></p><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: ﷼6,500.00 - ﷼7,500.00 per month</p>
