JOB SUMMARY:
A Produce Clerk at the Dill Pickle is responsible for assisting customers with their shopping needs both in the department and in the store as a whole. Produce Clerk duties include keeping the Produce sales floor as well as all related backstok in a clean, safe, orderly, and properly rotated fashion. In addition to assisting with receiving shipments, cleaning, and general department maintenance.
JOB DESCRIPTION:<ul><li>
Greeting and providing exceptional customer service to all customers within the department.</li><li>
Receive, process and stock inventory within grocery departments, to include bins, shelves and coolers.</li><li>
Ensuring proper merchandising standards of the sales floor to ensure delivery of an attractive, well-organized shopping experience for customers.</li><li>
Maintain department cleanliness of the sales floor and department warehouse areas.</li><li>
Assist Buyers, Grocery Manager, and Store Manager in creation of attractive displays and seasonal merchandising changes.</li><li>
Ensure pricing accuracy of all department merchandise.</li><li>
Maintain organized and clearly labeled overstock according to co-op standards.</li><li>
Perform product rotation for freshness, using the &ldquo;first in/first&rdquo; out process and regular checking of expiration dates.</li><li>
Notify department managers of damaged or malfunctioning equipment and unsellable merchandise and disposing of product according to The Dill Pickle Co-op policy.</li><li>
Ensure back stock is stored and labeled in an organized manner for easy access and rotation.</li><li>
Clean display cases, refrigerator glass and interiors, shelves and aisles.</li><li>
Assist with quarterly inventory count.</li><li>
Required training on front end procedures (Cashiering and Mercato )and assistance upon request.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
