 . The role is responsible for leading financial sustainability, operational efficiency, governance, and administrative excellence while supporting the MAJD Group and University strategic and academic objectives.
 
 
 
 
 
 The successful candidate will work closely with the Rector and senior leadership team to ensure financial transparency, cost efficiency, regulatory and governance compliance with Omani labor laws, and the effective delivery of high-quality administrative and operational services.

 Job Purpose
 
 
 The areas of responsibility of the VP Marketing will be branding, communications, product management, customer experience and customer care, relating to Awasr residential and business, core and beyond core, products. VP Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing the marketing team, designing customer journeys, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and launching new products as per strategy, and much more, to achieve business objectives.
 
 This role will require the possession of a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 Strategic Thinking and Planning
 
 
 * Develop the functional strategy as cascaded down from the company strategy and oversee its implementation throughout the organization and its operations, to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies across Awasr.
 
 
 
 Managerial Accountabilities
 
 
 * Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Awasr's business goals, focusing on core fiber broadband services and non-core products.
 
 * Lead and manage the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
 
 * Oversee brand management, product marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, and public relations to promote Awasr's products.
 
 * Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitors in the telecom industry, and other industries Awasr may be penetrating.
 
 * Define target audiences, develop customer segmentation strategies, and execute targeted marketing campaigns to attract and retain residential and business customers.
 
 * Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry influencers to drive partnerships and enhance brand visibility.
 
 * Drive the development and execution of impactful marketing programs, including advertising, promotions, events, and social media initiatives, to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
 
 * Monitor marketing performance metrics, analyze data, and provide regular reports to the executive team, highlighting key insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
 
 * Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in telecom marketing to ensure Awasr remains at the forefront of innovation.
 
 * Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to initiatives that yield the highest ROI and optimizing marketing expenses.
 
 
 
 Operational Accountabilities
 
 
 * Coordinate sales channels effectively, ensuring appropriate consideration for each promotional program.
 
 * Develop and execute product strategy and roadmap for Awasr's Residential and Business product lines, aligning with revenue expectations.
 
 * Enhance training initiatives to equip sales teams with comprehensive knowledge of Awasr's products and services.
 
 * Maintain a consistent and compelling image and position for Awasr, both internally and externally.
 
 * Embed Awasr's philosophy, mission, and vision throughout the organization.
 
 * Establish evaluation systems to track progress towards goals and objectives, reporting regularly to CXOs.
 
 * Determine the best mix of marketing communications media to deliver the strategic plan of Awasr.
 
 * Develop and direct measurable multi-channel, cross-channel, channel-specific, product, promotional, and cause-related marketing programs that tie back to brand strategy and business goals.
 
 * Direct the development and execution of marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, tradeshows, campaigns, social site presence, company website, and corporate events.
 
 * Maintain overall responsibility for the brand and advertising initiatives of Awasr.
 
 * Maintain the corporate brand across all mediums and initiatives in Awasr.
 
 * Manage the appearance of all Awasr print and electronic materials such as letterheads, use of logo, brochures, etc.
 
 * Perform research to find target audiences, hold focus groups, outline goals, develop concepts, create storyboards, approve copywriting, and set budgets for ad campaigns.
 
 * Report regularly on competitive intelligence comparing similar products from other operators.
 
 * Analyze competitors' offers, market share, advertising, and promotional plans; pricing, distribution mix, sales challenges; unique market advantages, weaknesses, requirements, and characteristics, and report this information to senior management.
 
 * Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
 
 * Drive a solution set across development teams to ensure the product is well-defined, understood, technically feasible, and commercially profitable.
 
 * Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by direct interaction with customers and non-customers.
 
 * Work with the marketing team to understand emerging customer needs and develop requests for new products or product enhancements.
 
 
 
 Resource Management
 
 
 * Define and manage the effective use of both in and out-sourced resources to deliver against Awasr's strategic plan.
 
 * Manage the selection, contracts and performance of agencies according to business needs/ scope and deliverables received.
 
 * Manage resources based on recruitment needs and organizational changes as and when they occur.
 
 
 
 People Management
 
 
 * Manage the departmental team of direct and indirect reports through effective recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning, to maximize team performance and achieve departmental objectives.
 
 
 
 Budget Management
 
 
 * Manage the development and consolidation of the departmental budget within own scope, and monitor the department's financial performance versus the budget, to ensure the exercising of financial authority within established limits and the control of departmental budget expenditure.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Business, Marketing or Telecommunications or equivalent.
