CD Finance introduction
CD Finance is a business partnering job to CD (customer development) and CSP (customer strategy and planning) teams focusing on Top line planning, Trade spend management, month end closing activities and results analysis, dealing with key partners are the CD country and channel heads, regional sales managers, key account managers, CSP, also working closely with Cash &amp; collection team and financial controllers.
JOB PURPOSE
The primary role of CDF assistant manager is to be fully responsible of the end-to-end process of Trade Spend management, performance analysis, claims revision, customer balance reconciliation tracking, and to be fully equipped to support the decision-making process for business target achievement. The geographical scope extends to Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain markets. The job also involves controllership responsibilities for the local joint venture in Kuwait including financial statements preparation, tax and external audit co-ordination and partnering the JV board of directors in governance matters.
The role also has primary responsibility of coaching and developing three team members at 1D level.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Business Partnering:
<ul><li>Business partnering with channel heads and CSP teams across all Business groups in driving the business performance.</li><li>
Customer profitability reporting and analysis on monthly basis.</li><li>
Budgeting and forecasting regular reviews with detailed variance analysis vs actual results.</li><li>
Building strong controls on TTS spend to minimize drifts.</li><li>
Ensure TTS plans approval and alignment in place with the budget owners.</li><li>
Maintain strong relationships with the distributor team. Communicate and coordinate to resolve operational issues, meet Unilever requirements, and identify mutually beneficial opportunities.</li><li>
Customer contract review and evaluation of promotional effectiveness.</li><li>
Updating Customer value assessment for key customers annually.</li><li>
Customer claims tracking ensuring that all claims submitted and processed on time, while any overspend to be actioned as per Unilever policy.</li><li>
Customer reconciliation tracking with Cash and collect team ensuring that it gets signed off regularly.</li></ul>

Joint Venture Controllership:<ul><li>
P2P Support: Resolve issues related to P2P activities, including claims from third-party manufacturing vendors and invoice posting, by coordinating with the Central P2P</li><li>
Fully responsible of JV&rsquo;s external Audit E2E:</li><li>
Support with the Unilever Central SOX Audit</li><li>
Tax Compliance Support the UniOps Tax team with monthly withholding tax filings, corporate income tax (CIT) filings.</li><li>
Treasury Support: Assist the Central Treasury team with various documentations related to Bank and Insurance.</li></ul>
Experiences &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance / accounting is a must.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of financial experience or similar positions, preferably in FMCG sector</li><li>Business acumen for manufacturing and distribution businesses.</li><li>Microsoft office basics is mandatory, Advanced level is preferred.</li></ul>

Role Name: Freight Officer
 
Job Summary: 
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Freight Officer should be able to handle all queries sea & air freight for import shipments for various customers by following up and arranging required services, routing by coordinating with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines and customs clearance teams by guiding the team for smooth execution of jobs. Should assist and enable by raising the standards of organizational operations and provide cost effective services.
 
Also, will be responsible for managing all dispatch and export documentation, ensuring timely disbursement of advance cash to drivers and accurate posting of cost in system. In addition, the role will handle basic accounting functions including verifying and posting transactions, preparing payment vouchers, maintaining accurate records, and managing petty cash. The role ensures compliance with company policies while providing cost-effective, efficient service and accurate financial support to the operations team.
 
Job Responsibilities: 
Take day-to-day instructions from Operations Supervisor
 Update respective customers with shipment status reports.
 Co-ordinate with stakeholders to follow up and highlight any operation issues
 Co-ordinate with the vendors to make sure customer’s requirements are fulfilled in timely manner
 Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, accounts, etc.) to assure day-to-day execution of jobs.
 Cost posting in the ERP and auditing of cost invoices from different ministries and clearance teams before submitted to accounts
 To make sure that the system is always updated with all the available information and data.
 To maintain reporting to the line manager with ongoing jobs and highlight the issues, if any.
 Open job files promptly and maintain accurate documentation for all overland export shipments.
 Coordinate with accounts and finance team for cost posting, reimbursement, and replenishment of bank account
 Coordinate with operations team to manage the availability of cash advance for ongoing shipments
 Verify all land freight charges on the transportation contracts before issuing cash advance and balance payments to drivers
 Keep internal systems updated with all costs and invoice posting.
 Maintain a proper filing system for all documents, payment advice, and receipts.
 Prepare, verify, and process invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts related to transportation activities.
 Manage day-to-day petty cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping.
 Record all incoming and outgoing payments in the system in a timely manner.
 Reconcile payments, collections, and petty cash balances regularly.
 Coordinate with the finance team for monthly closing and reporting requirements.
 Maintain confidentiality and ensure all financial transactions comply with internal policies.
 
Candidate Requirements: 
Minimum Secondary School Certificate; additional diploma or training in accounting is an advantage.
 5+ years of relevant experience in transport coordination, documentation, or accounting roles.
 Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems.
 Interest and experience in interacting with all levels and departments.
 Well versed with freight forwarding operations of land, air and seaall land routes and borders to GCC and Levant Areas and business terminologies and procedures.
 Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
 Valid Kuwait Driving License shall be considered as additional skill
 Good knowledge of transport routes within GCC and Levant areas.
 Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
 Good communication and coordination abilities with various internal and external stakeholders
 
Education: 
Candidate must have at least a High School Certificate
